Trump Holds 6-Point Lead Over Biden in Poll as Americans Express Election Dissatisfaction

In a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll of 1,250 U.S. adults, former President Donald Trump leads Democrat President Joe Biden by six percentage points, with Trump garnering 40% compared to Biden’s 34%.

The poll indicates increased dissatisfaction with a potential election rematch, with 67% expressing fatigue with the same candidates in presidential elections and a desire for someone new. Notably, 70% of respondents, including half of Democrats, agreed that Biden should not seek re-election, emphasizing concerns about his age.

The poll also highlighted dissatisfaction with the two-party system, with over half expressing discontent. Despite the dissatisfaction, Trump’s lead remained when third-party candidates were included in the options. The survey suggests a complex electoral landscape with voters seeking alternatives amid dissatisfaction with the current choices.
