Rep. Nancy Mace Endorses Donald Trump in GOP Presidential Primary

In a significant endorsement, Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina has thrown her support behind Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP presidential primary.

Mace, who had previously stayed out of the 2024 Republican primary, revealed her endorsement a day before the New Hampshire primary. The move comes as Trump aims to strengthen his position in the GOP race after his resounding victory in the Iowa caucuses. Mace’s decision to back Trump over fellow South Carolinian Nikki Haley, who previously supported her in 2022, underscores Trump’s dominance in the state. With Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis exiting the race, Haley remains Trump’s main competition in the GOP primary.

The South Carolina primary is scheduled for next month, and Trump has already garnered support from key Republican figures in the state. Mace’s endorsement adds to Trump’s backing from four of the state’s six Republican U.S. House members, further solidifying his influence in South Carolina.
