Rep. Dan Meuser Warns Hunter Biden of Potential Jail Time for Ignoring Subpoena

In a strong statement on Newsmax, Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Pa., emphasized the potential consequences for Hunter Biden if he continues to disregard the subpoena to testify in a closed-door hearing before the House Oversight Committee. Meuser’s comments came on the same day Hunter Biden was scheduled to provide a deposition related to the committee’s investigation into President Joe Biden.

Speaking on “American Agenda” ahead of a crucial vote in the Republican-majority House on initiating an impeachment inquiry into the president, Meuser expressed confidence that the vote would pass.

“I do think it will pass,” Meuser stated. “We’re talking about an impeachment inquiry here where we’re going to uncover added information due to the [obstruction] of the White House and the lack of complete cooperation or even remote cooperation. It is essential we are able to access bank records and issue subpoenas.”

Turning his attention to Hunter Biden’s scheduled deposition, Meuser emphasized the importance of compliance with a congressional subpoena. He remarked, “Hunter is used to doing whatever he wants, from business to his social life. But when Congress issues a subpoena — and there are laws in this country that even the first son needs to follow — he does need to heed that demand. So if he doesn’t, he’ll… go to jail.”
